Our New Look – Tim Holmes
I recently saw an article written by Inc. Magazine that chronicled the changes to many popular company logos (http://www.inc.com/ss/evolution-corporate-logos#0 ). It was interesting to see how many iconic brands have made changes to their logos over the years.
While most of the time, changes to logo’s are done in order to serve some specific purpose i.e. in order to satisfy a merger, acquisition or break-up or differentiate from competition or do distance themselves from a negative event or image. Some of these decisions to make a change aren’t strategic in nature but rather are in order to “update” or freshen the company’s look.
This is where we found ourselves. The old logo that had served Environs well over the year was due for an update and Carey and I felt that the change in ownership was the perfect time to make such a change and so we launch our new logo. In doing so, we’ve also launched our new website which incorporates this new look. We hope you take some time to explore our new site to learn more about our company. We intend to add some functionality to our site so that it becomes a source of information for our customers – current availability lists will be updated regularly and available on the site.
Our new look will also be evident with our tradeshow booth and our company brochures that we’ll be distributing at the Landscape Ontario Congress being held January 8-10th at the Toronto Congress Centre.
While we’re not suggesting that our logo change will have the sort of impact that Ford, BP or Pepsi may have had, we’re excited about it nonetheless!
