Carey Grierson, Principal
Carey, one of Envrions Wholesale Nursery’s two owners, has more than 30 years of experience in business operations, with a specialization in manufacturing sector. In addition, his strong project management experience includes overseeing all facets of operations for projects in the construction industry. Active in his community, Carey has been a minor hockey coach and strong supporter of the organization.
Bill Beni, Farm Manager & Grower
Bill grew up on a fruit farm in Ontario and has had a love for growing all through his life. Bill has an extensive background in fruit and nursery productions with more than 25 years of experience in both Canada and the United States. He has worked on the leading edge of new systems and technology in the industry specializing in training and high density growing. Bill brings a passion for excellence and success to the Environs team.
Frank Birnstiel, Assistant Manager
Frank has been a farmer for 50 years. Crops such as fruit, vegetables, livestock, custom work and for the past 23 years, nursery plants. His hands on experience and proficiency in propagation, plant fertility and soil requirements, IPM, Pruning/Shaping of plants etc all lead up to the level of quality plants that Environs is renowned for. Frank takes pride in his work. A true farmer with knowledge gathered over time plus the thirst to continue to learn new varieties, techniques etc. make him a very valuable member of the Environs Wholesale Nursery team.
Jaclyn Mummery, Executive Administrative Assistant
Jaclyn has been on the Environs team since April 2014. Her education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and an Accounting Certificate. Previous administrative experience in the construction industry, with a focus on emergency response and restoration, allows her to understand how important both customer service and quality assurance is to a business. Growing up and still living in the area, Jaclyn has a great appreciation for the hard work that goes into farming and will be a welcome member to the Environs Team.
Lisa Gilbert, Customer Service & Office Administrator
Lisa had previously worked for Environs from October 2009 to August 2012. We are excited she decided to come back to join our team once again. Her education includes an Associate Diploma in Horticulture. Lisa's experience in the horticultural industry started as a child working for her family greenhouse business which led to opportunities working in garden centres, landscape design, sales, merchandising, and wholesale. She will be a strong member of our growing team.
Henry Wolf, Harvest Supervisor
Henry has been in the nursery industry for over 35 years. Henry's previous work experience had him overseeing large crews, packaging and propagation processes. His education includes crane, chainsaw,and forklift certificates, along with an AZ and Pesticide license. He has been with Environs for 7 years as an equipment operator, primarily running a skidsteer, but can operate any piece of equiopment on the farm if need be. It is only natural that Henry fall into this new leadership position and he will continue to be play a key role in the success of Environs.
